Even though we are breaking with what’s viewed as the traditional Gone With The Wind lamp as far as having the hand-painted base and shade, you have to admit that these tinted-glass Gone With The Wind hurricane lamps are quite pretty.
I see these as fitting quite well with a traditional type decor. I say this because our home decor is traditional and we have a Tiffany lamp and a tinted-glass Gone With The Wind lamp in the room. I guess my tastes are pretty eclectic but nonetheless our visitors tell us we have a very beautiful house.
All of these lamps have night lights. I like that. In our living we have a couple of night lights that go on later in the evening automatically. They light the path when we go to bed at night and if we’re not at home having the night lights on gives any would be intruder the idea that we are there.
