Why, because more often than not, prices are lower than your normal antique stores for the exact same lamp. Even more surprising is that you can get an antique at a price that is often no more than what you’d pay for a new lamp.

Just look at the ones below. You don’t see anything as beautiful and charming as these Antique Gone With The Wind lamps in normal lamp stores. Many are hand-painted on hand-blown glass and the real old ones often times are the original hurricane oil lamps that have been converted to use an electric bulb.
